'True Blood' gets a bad girl; Syfy's 'Haven' finds a lead

brit-morgan-getty-320.jpg "True Blood" has filled in the last major piece of its season 3 casting puzzle, adding Brit Morgan to the ensemble.

Morgan ("The Middleman") will have a recurring part on the HBO hit as Debbie Pelt, the ex-girlfriend of Alcide (Joe Manganiello), according to The Hollywood Reporter. As is the case in the Sookie Stackhouse books on which the show is based, Debbie is -- to put it mildly -- not a fan of Sookie's (Anna Paquin).

Morgan's other credits include a guest spot on "Cold Case" and the Toby Keith movie "Beer for My Horses."

In other casting news:

- Emily Rose ("Brothers & Sisters," "John From Cincinnati") will play the lead role in Syfy's upcoming series "Haven."

Rose will play an FBI agent investigating a murder in a small town in Maine and soon discovers that the place is home to people with supernatural abilities, Variety reports. The show, set to premiere later this year, is loosely based on the Stephen King story "The Colorado Kid."

Rose has also had recurring parts on "Jericho" and the final season of "ER."

- Gary Cole will play the title role in TBS' pilot "Uncle Nigel."

The hour-long show, from "Monk" creator Andy Breckman, is about a Philadelphia homicide detective (Cole) who is partnered up with his very inexperienced nephew. The pilot was initially picked up contingent on casting; landing Cole lifts that contingency, the HR says.

His recent credits include stints on "Entourage" and "Desperate Housewives" and the movie "Pineapple Express."
