Jessica True Blood.jpgAfter a long wait, HBO has finally confirmed that the long-awaited fifth season of "True Blood" will debut on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at 9 p.m. EST. Season 5 will have 12 episodes.

HBO debuted the first trailer this week, which you can watch below -- it's hard to miss the shot of Sookie (Anna Paquin) digging a grave. At the end of Season 4, we saw a shoot out between Debbie, Tara, and Sookie -- and Sookie was the only one left standing at the end. Will she be burying the evidence?

HBO also announced the premiere of its new Aaron Sorkin drama, "The Newsroom." The series stars Jeff Daniels, Emily Mortimer, John Gallagher, Jr., Alison Pill, Thomas Sadoski, Dev Patel, and Olivia Munn as the staff of a cable news show. "Newsroom" debuts Sunday, June 24, 2012, at 10 p.m. Its first season will have 10 episodes.
