"True Blood" is heading into its seventh and final season on June 22, and a new trailer teases that the 10 episodes might actually have a hopeful ending.

While the previous trailer focused on the apocalyptic vibe of Season 7, the above video discusses how people survive the war that Sookie and the rest of Bon Temps now finds themselves in. Scenes of the town turning against Sam are mixed with shots of its citizens partying together, so the true theme of the final season seems to be survival.

The trailer also shows a return to the Sookie and Bill relationship. Though she was dating Alcide at the end of Season 6, her werewolf beau seems to be jealous about Sookie turning to Bill, and the show's first couple has more than a few heart-to-heart moments with one another.

But where is Eric? That is the big question heading into the Season 7 premiere. He has been nonexistent thus far in the promotions, so hopefully that's just because he has some big surprise role to play.

"True Blood" Season 7 premieres on Sunday, June 22 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO.
