true-blood-the-musical-hbo.jpg "True Blood" as a TV show might be ending in Season 7, but that doesn't mean fans need to say goodbye to Bon Temps for good. According to composer Nathan Barr, he is hard at work on "True Blood: The Musical."

Barr scored all seven seasons of "True Blood." He says he is currently working on a workshop version of the prospective musical that he expects to have ready in the next year.

"This was something that I pitched to HBO and Alan Ball," Barr says at the "True Blood" Season 7 Hollywood premiere, via the Associated Press. "I think we're really going to try to return to the roots of the show."

Of course, the fact that Barr is working on the musical doesn't mean it will actually get made. "There's no guarantees," he says. "But I think the direction we're heading in is really exciting."
