'True Blood' 'Turn! Turn! Turn!' starts Season 5 with a bang
Not so in Season 5. We started off right where we left, with Debbie Pelt ( Brit Morgan) dead on the floor after being shot by Sookie ( Anna Paquin) after Debbie shot Tara ( Rutina Wesley) in the head. Needless to say, what follows is definitely full of spoilers. You've been warned.
Tara hasn't had an easy time of it, and the fact that she's been turned into a vampire isn't going to sit well with her at all. That said, the delicious moments from Pam ( Kristin Bauer van Straten) as she put on a kitten outfit and buried herself in the grave as just beyond hysterical. There is so much coming with her character this season and the fact that Sookie now owes her a favor is huge. We know it will have something to do withe Eric ( Alexander Skarsgard).
Speaking of which, was that sex scene between he and his "sister" Nora (yes, we realize the weirdness of this sentence) hot or what? Lucy Griffiths is going to knock it out of the park this season. It's obvious. Even better was Bill ( Stephen Moyer) and his reaction to hearing them. They're on the run from the Vampire Authority after cleaning up their mess.
So, the big question is, now that Sookie has rejected both Eric and Bill, is she going to hook up with Alcide ( Joe Manganiello)? He's got his own problems as the pack finds out who he killed. Gross out moment of the week? Oh, that definitely goes to Marcus' mother eating his corpse in a pack ritual.
We finally got to see Scott Foley as Patrick, Terry's ( Todd Lowe) former war buddy. The mysterious fires at houses of his platoon are causing concern. Wait? That fire wasn't because of the lovely ghost? Hmm ...
By far the best moment of the night was Steve Newlin ( Michael McMillian) coming out to Jason ( Ryan Kwanten). He's just been turned into a vampire and obviously trained. (What a great scene!) We can't wait to see what happens with his story line. We're also looking forward seeing where Jessica ( Deborah Ann Woll) goes. She's feeling her oats now, and really messes with Jason. She sleeps with him, saves his life, and then moves on. What we see with Jason though, is what a good person he is in the car with a co-ed who really wants to sleep with him. Oh, Jason. You're dumb and pretty, and oh, so sweet.
