'True Blood': What's the deal with Franklin Mott?

true-blood-hbo-james-frain.jpgIn Sunday's (June 20) episode of " True Blood," we met several new friends and, uh, reignited some old flames...

We know now that Bill ( Stephen Moyer) was kidnapped by Russell ( Denis O'Hare), the vampire king of Mississippi, and then we found out who probably clued him in: yep, Lorena ( Mariana Klaveno). Well, her goose was cookin' when we last saw her, but something tells us she's not done.

Meanwhile, Nazi werewolves are hunting down Sookie ( Anna Paquin). Yes, that's what we said: Nazi werewolves. But, Eric ( Alex Skarsgard) is now protecting her. Sam ( Sam Trammell) has been discovered by his shifty birth family and we're pretty sure his new bro just tried to make him road kill.

But of all the threats in this episode, the strangely alluring Franklin Mott ( James Frain) makes us the weariest. He broke into Bill's house and found a secret file filled with information on Sookie, potentially stole Jessica's ( Deborah Ann Woll) dead body, and he now has an obvious thing for poor fragile Tara ( Rutina Wesley)!

Our theory is that he works for Russell, but we have no idea what his assignment is.

Do you think he's one of the Vampire King's foot soldiers, too? What do you think is his endgame? And, what is poor Tara in for?
