'True Blood's' Lindsay Pulsipher on the werepanther question

Lots of rumors have been going around about whether HBO's " True Blood" is adding werepanthers to the supernatural menagerie that is Bon Temps.

TV Guide recently posted a photo from the set showing a live panther and they hinted that the gorgeous creature "will make her on-screen debut in mid-August."

"I've been working with the panthers and they're a lot cooler than the wolves," Ryan Kwanten (who plays Jason Stackhouse) confirmed to the site.

Zap2it recently spoke to Lindsay Pulsipher who's playing (hint, hint) Jason's mysterious new love interest, Crystal Norris, a sheltered young thing who has been living at a compound, which doubles as a meth lab.

In the Charlaine Harris Sookie Stackhouse books, Crystal Norris is, drum roll please, a werepanther.

Here's where it gets sticky. In another interview, Pulsipher denied that she was a werepanther. So, we asked her about the denial and whether she can confirm for us that her character truly is just a human.

"I can't answer that," she tells us. "You will have to watch and find out. I will say this. I get misquoted a lot and you know you just have to wait and see what happens."

Well, if there's anything we can say about series creator Alan Ball, he has his werepanthers actors well trained.
