TV Gal Signs Off
First of all I want to thank you for all your kind emails and comments after I gave birth to my daughter Molly. It really meant so much to me to hear from you.
I know I've been gone a loooong time and I've missed out on talking to you about so much TV! I wanted to let you know that I've made the difficult decision to not return to writing my TV Gal column.
When I started writing my TV Gal column 13 (!!) years ago it was because I loved TV and I wanted to talk about TV with people who loved TV as much as I did. I've always loved that my column connected me with all of you. But the TV Gal column has never been my main job - it was always an added and very wonderful thing I did and so enjoyed doing.
But since the birth of my daughter, I've realized there is no way I can keep up with all the TV the TV Gal column requires, write the kind of column I want to write and spend the time I want to spend with my child. Something in my schedule
had to give and I realized it was my TV Gal column. The cliché is true - this time with Molly is precious and it is already going by so fast. I want to enjoy and savor every single second I possibly can.
I will continue to write for the Boston Herald, where you can still find my work. Thank you so much for reading my column and for writing, posting and always letting me know your thoughts about TV. I especially want to thank those of you who followed me from my days at Digital City, to Dish This to Zap2it. All your support has meant so much to me. It has been so much fun watching TV with all of you.
Love and thanks,
Amy (TV Gal)
