TV Ratings: 'Fringe' improves, CBS wins the night

As per usual, CBS dominated Friday night in viewers, thanks to "The Defenders" (8.2 million), "CSI: NY" (10.6 million) and "Blue Bloods" (11.1 million). "Fringe" fans can probably stop panicking for the time being: The show improved from last week's 3.7 million, bringing in 4.1 million viewers, helping FOX tie CBS for the lead among adults 18-49.

CBS scored 10.1 million viewers
and a 6.3 rating/11 share in households for the night, up almost two million viewers from last week. NBC took second with 6.51 million viewers and a 4.2/8. ABC was next with 4.1 million, 2.8/5, FOX was in fourth at 4.0 million, 2.3/4 and the CW was last with 2.23 million, 1.3/2. 

There was a tie for the lead among adults 18-49: CBS and FOX led for the night, each averaging a 1.6 rating in the demographic. NBC was right behind with a 1.5 and ABC followed with a 1.3. The CW earned a 1.0 rating.
