TV Ratings: 'American Idol' dominates, up in both viewers and demo

"American Idol" dipped a little last week, but is right back up this week. Guess everybody likes Motown. In other shows not named "American Idol," "Modern Family" had a good night, though it was up against a "Criminal Minds" rerun on CBS.

FOX won the night with an average of 23.5 million viewers and a 13.3 rating/22 share in households. CBS was next at 9.4 million, 5.7/9, followed by ABC at 6.5 million, 4.0/7, NBC at 5.6 million, 3.5/6 and the CW at 1.6 million, 1.0/2.

In the 18-49 demographic, FOX obliterated the field with a 7.7 rating, followed by CBS (2.5), ABC (2.2), NBC (1.6) and the CW (0.7).
