TV ratings: 'American Idol' up slightly; 'Survivor' posts second-best number of the season

"American Idol" rebounded again from its low numbers two weeks ago, rising a tenth of a point in adults 18-49 over last week and giving FOX a win on the night. Meanwhile, over on CBS "Survivor's" crazy Tribal Council posted its second-best numbers of the season. The rest of the field was dotted with a lot of reruns.

FOX earned 12.4 million viewers and a 7.5 rating/12 share in households for the top spot, followed by CBS at 7.7 million, 4.9/8. ABC eked out third place with 4.8 million viewers and a 3.2/5. Next was NBC at 4.4 million, 3.1/5 and the CW at 1.6 million, 1.0/2.

In the adults 18-49 demo, the order was the same -- FOX at 3.3, CBS at 1.8, ABC at 1.5, NBC at 1.1 and the CW at 0.5.
