TV ratings: 'America's Got Talent' and 'Big Brother 16' steady on Wednesday

NBC's "America's Got Talent" continues to be one of the top-rated shows of the summer. This week, the clip show of the performances from Tuesday was the third-highest viewed show of the night and the subsequent results show earned the most viewers Wednesday.

"Big Brother" also continues to be steady for CBS, finishing second only to the "AGT" results show and earning the top rating in the 18-49 demographic for the night. "Extant" held steady in its new time slot.

NBC won the total viewers race with 7.2 million and a 4.4 rating/8 share in households. CBS was second with 5.6 million and a 3.6/6, followed by FOX (3.7 million, 2.3/4), ABC (3.2 million, 2.1/4) and The CW (1 million, 0.7/1).

In the adults 18-49 demo, NBC and CBS tied at 1.4, followed by FOX (1.1), ABC (0.8) and The CW (0.4).
