A presidential address caused some disruption in the prime-time schedule Tuesday, but the ratings played out as they usually do -- which meant NBC and "America's Got Talent" finished the night on top.

NBC averaged 9.5 million viewers and a 5.7 rating/10 share in households for the night (ratings for all of the big four networks will change a bit because of the live Oval Office speech). CBS (7.1 million, 4.7/8) came in second, a couple million viewers ahead of ABC (5.1 million, 2.9/5). FOX came in fourth with 3.5 million viewers and a 2.4/4. The CW (922,000, 0.7/1) was at the back of the pack.

In the adults 18-49 demographic, NBC's 2.5 finished out in front by a pretty good-sized margin. ABC finished second in the demo at 1.7, followed by FOX at 1.3. CBS drew a 1.1 and The CW a meager 0.3.
