Season 8 of "America's Got Talent" debuted on NBC with a larger total audience than last year, but it was down about 16 percent in the 18-49 demographic vs. a year ago. It easily led its time period in both measures, though.

"The Voice" also led its hour, holding steady with its performance a week ago and giving NBC a sweep of the night. ABC's "Extreme Weight Loss," FOX's "So You Think You Can Dance" and CBS' "Brooklyn DA" were all down a bit.

NBC delivered 10.9 million viewers and a 6.6 rating/11 share in households for the night, leading second-place CBS (6.8 million, 4.6/8) by about 4 million viewers. FOX (4.4 million, 2.8/5) came in third. ABC was fourth with 4 million viewers and a 2.8/5. The CW (578,000, 0.4/1) was well back of the rest of the field.

NBC's 3.1 rating among adults 18-49 was almost double the 1.6 that FOX drew. ABC and CBS tied for third at 0.9. The CW posted a 0.2.
