wil-wheaton-jim-parsons-big-bang-theory-cbs.jpgNothing can stop comedy powerhouse "The Big Bang Theory" which matched series highs in total viewers and a season high in the 18-49 demo on Thursday (Nov. 8) to drive CBS to a decisive victory in both measures.

Meanwhile, a special airing of "The Voice" helped give NBC's usual Thursday doldrums a boost. Though the singing competition slipped to a season low, it still easily topped rival FOX's "X Factor" head-to-head in both viewers and 18-49.

After a five week hiatus, primarily due to baseball and election coverage, "Glee" returned to a season low in viewers. "Two and a Half Men" (featuring guest star Miley Cyrus), "Person of Interest," "The Office" and "Parks and Recreation" all hit season highs in viewers.

CBS averaged 13.6 million viewers and an 8.6 rating/14 share to dominate primetime in households. ABC trailed with 7.1 million viewers and 4.6/7. NBC (6 million, 3.8/6) was third with only the slightest edge over FOX (6 million, 3.6/5). The CW garnered 2.4 million viewers and a 1.5/2.

CBS also led the 18-49 demographic with a 3.2 rating. FOX finished second with a 2.4, followed by ABC at 2.2 and NBC at 2.1. The CW posted a 1.1.
