"The Big Bang Theory" scored big ratings Thursday, matching its season high in adults 18-49 and providing a strong launchpad for the season premiere of "Rules of Engagement." Game 2 of the World Series on FOX was right in line with Wednesday's Game 1, at least as things stand now.

FOX averaged 12.9 million viewers and an 8.0 rating/13 share for the night, although those numbers will rise some when the live baseball telecast is taken into account. CBS was right behind in second with 12.6 million viewers and a 7.8/12. ABC (7.2 million, 4.8/8) was in line with its performance last week. NBC (2.7 million, 1.9/3) came in fourth overall with a night of reruns, while The CW drew 2.5 million viewers and a 1.6/3.

FOX also led the adults 18-49 demographic with a 3.7 rating. CBS grabbed second with a 3.2, followed by ABC at 2.4. The CW's 1.1 edged NBC's 1.0 for fourth.
