CBS cruised to a ratings win Thursday on the strength of its comedy lineup. Although "The Big Bang Theory" was off slightly from its last original episode, the other three sitcoms all improved, with "The Millers" jumping half a point in adults 18-49.

Also Thursday, "Scandal" was down some for ABC but still dominated its hour. "American Idol" and "Surviving Jack" each dipped slightly for FOX, and "Community" and "Parks and Recreation" also fell for NBC. Stations in some markets also pre-empted their prime-time lineups for severe weather coverage, so numbers may change.

CBS drew slightly more than 10 million viewers and a 6.3 rating/10 share in households for the night, easily beating second-place ABC (6.7 million, 4.6/8). FOX (5.5 million, 3.5/6) came in third. NBC was fourth with 3.15 million viewers and a 2.0/3, and The CW (868,000, 0.6/1) trailed with a night of reruns.

The adults 18-49 race was closer, but CBS still came out on top with a 2.5 rating. ABC finished second with a 2.1. FOX's 1.6 was good for third, while NBC averaged 1.1 and The CW a 0.3.
