Thursday's Nielsen ratings played out pretty much has they have all summer, with "Big Brother" and "The Big Bang Theory" leading CBS to an across-the-board win for the night. A couple of NFL preseason games in local markets inflated the numbers for CBS, ABC and NBC, but the rankings will likely stay the same.

CBS averaged 6.2 million viewers and a 4.0 rating/7 share in households for the night, pending updates. ABC (4.9 million, 3.2/5) took second, beating out NBC (3.7 million, 2.4/4). FOX came in fourth with 1.8 million viewers and a 1.2/2, and The CW (873,000, 0.6/1) trailed.

The adults 18-49 crown also went to CBS, which scored a 1.7 in the demographic. ABC's 1.2 edged NBC's 1.1 for second. FOX came in at 0.7 and The CW at 0.3.
