TV ratings: Bubba Watson's Masters win scores for CBS Sunday
A sudden-death playoff in the Masters golf tournament took up nearly an hour of primetime Sunday and helped CBS score a ratings victory for the night. NBC was up some over last week, while ABC and FOX aired several reruns on Easter Sunday.
Thanks to the boost from the Masters (coverage ended at 7:52 p.m. ET), CBS was the only network to break the 10 million-viewer mark Sunday, averaging 10.75 million and a 6.6 rating/11 share in households for the night. NBC (6.4 million, 4.1/7) came in second, a good bit ahead of ABC (4.7 million, 3.0/5). FOX trailed with 2.8 million viewers and a 1.6/3.
CBS also led the adults 18-49 demographic with a 2.3 rating. The other three nets were tightly bunched, with NBC's 1.5 edging ABC's 1.4 and FOX's 1.3.
