TV ratings: 'Criminal Minds' and 'X Factor' lead Wednesday as 'Chicago Fire' rises
CBS scored a win in total viewers Wednesday night thanks to "Criminal Minds" and "Survivor: Philippines" -- and no thanks to its Grammy nominations special, which finished third at 10 o'clock. FOX led the night in adults 18-49 with "The X Factor."
Elsewhere, "Chicago Fire" scored a series high in total viewers and its second-best adults 18-49 rating for NBC. ABC's "Modern Family" rerun pulled in pretty solid numbers, nearly leading the 9 p.m. hour in adults 18-49.
CBS averaged 9.1 million viewers and a 5.7 rating/9 share in households to lead the night over FOX (8.25 million, 5.0/8). ABC (6.8 million, 4.4/7) came in third. NBC (5.7 million, 3.8/6) was fourth, and The CW (2.7 million, 1.7/3) trailed.
FOX won the 18-49 demographic with a 2.8 rating, beating CBS' 2.5. ABC scored a 2.2 to finish third, followed by NBC, 1.6, and The CW, 1.0.
