"CSI's" ratings rose for the second straight week and led CBS to a sizable win Thursday night. FOX's coverage of the National League Championship Series, meanwhile, improved on Wednesday's numbers.

CBS averaged 13.6 million viewers and an 8.3 rating/14 share for the evening, a slight improvement over last week. FOX (9.3 million, 5.8/10) came in second, with those numbers subject to change because of its live sports telecast. ABC (7.7 million, 5.1/8) finished third, while NBC (4.8 million, 3.0/5) was off some from last week. The CW delivered 3.2 million viewers and a 1.9/3.

In the adults 18-49 demographic, CBS' 3.3 was good enough to claim the top spot. FOX took second with a 2.9, beating out ABC's 2.6. NBC averaged 2.1 and The CW 1.3.
