TV ratings: 'Dancing' steady Monday, late start sends 'Terra Nova' and 'House' down
FOX's coverage of the American League Championship Series took up almost an hour of primetime in most of the country Monday, causing late starts and lower ratings for "Terra Nova" and "House." Meanwhile "Dancing With the Stars" was up a little in viewers and steady among adults 18-49, leading ABC to an overall win for the night.
"Two and a Half Men" was once again the night's top show in adults 18-49, but it dropped again and is now pretty close to the numbers it was putting up last season.
ABC averaged 15.05 million viewers and a 10.2 rating/15 share among households in primetime, beating No. 2 CBS (11.1 million, 7.1/10) by a comfortable margin. FOX drew 7.7 million viewers and a 4.7/7 from 8 to 11 p.m., although those numbers will change because of the baseball overrun. NBC (3.8 million, 2.5/4) came in fourth, and The CW trailed 2with 1.4 million viewers and a 1.0/1.
CBS led the adults 18-49 demographic with a 3.9 rating, a point better than ABC's 2.9. FOX scored a 2.7 from 8 to 11. NBC's 1.2 was good enough for fourth. The CW came in at 0.6.
