TV ratings: 'Dancing With the Stars' rules Monday, 'Bachelorette' on par with last year
The final performances on "Dancing With the Stars" carried ABC to an easy ratings win Monday night. The show also helped "The Bachelorette" premiere to numbers pretty much in line with its debut last year.
ABC averaged 13.6 million viewers and an 8.7 rating/14 share in households for the night. FOX (8 million, 4.9/8) finished a distant second. CBS (6.3 million, 4.1/6) took third, beating out NBC's 4.9 million viewers and 3.1/5. The CW was barely there with a night of repeats, drawing just under 600,000 viewers and a 0.4/1.
The adults 18-49 race was closer, but ABC still grabbed the top spot with a 3.4 rating. FOX came in second in the demographic with a 2.6, followed by CBS, 1.8, and NBC, 1.4. The CW mustered only a 0.2.
