NBC's "Sunday Night Football" handily beat FOX's coverage of baseball's National League Championship Series on Sunday night, and the Peacock scored its usual victory for the night.

CBS also got a boost from late-afternoon NFL games in some markets, while most of ABC's lineup was off a little from last week. The exception was "Revenge," which improved in both viewers and adults 18-49 from a week ago.

Because of live sports, the audience tallies for everyone but ABC will likely change some. NBC averaged 14.7 million viewers and an 8.8 rating/14 share in households for the night, leading second-place CBS (10.4 million, 6.7/10) by a pretty wide margin. ABC finished third with 8.1 million viewers and a 4.9/7. FOX trailed with just over 7 million viewers and a 4.3/7.

NBC also dominated the adults 18-49 demographic with a 5.6 rating, more than doubling the 2.7 for No. 2 FOX. CBS came in third in the demo with a 2.2, and ABC came in at 2.1.
