A double elimination on "American Idol" carried FOX to the top of Thursday's ratings, per usual. The post-"Idol" special "Mobbed" also did OK, while "Grey's Anatomy" got a sizable bump with a heavily hyped musical episode.

FOX averaged 16.4 million viewers and a 9.4 rating/15 share in households Thursday night, leading second-place CBS (12.1 million, 7.6/12) by a comfortable margin. ABC came in third overall with 8.8 million viewers and a 5.6/9. NBC (2.4 million, 1.5/2) was well off the pace with a lineup of mostly repeats. The CW trailed with 1.2 million viewers and a 0.8/1.

FOX's lead in the adults 18-49 demographic was wider. It scored a 5.2 rating in the demo, two-plus points better than ABC's 3.1. CBS took third with a 2.9. NBC drew a 1.1 and The CW a 0.4.
