TV ratings: Kentucky Wildcats win 2012 NCAA tournament and ratings, 'Voice,' 'Dancing with the Stars' down
The 2012 NCAA men's basketball tournament threw a wrench in regular prime time viewing again last night with the National Championship Game matchup between the Kentucky Wildcats and Kansas Jayhawks. Kentucky won the game and the most viewers during the 10 o'clock hour. ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" won the most viewers during the 8 and 9 p.m. timeslots, though both "DWTS" and NBC's "The Voice" were both down this week.
NBC's "Smash" also fell a bit again this week, while the birth of baby "Bones" brought in 8.2 million viewers for FOX.
ABC won out for the night in total viewers with 15.04 million viewers and a 9.8 rating/15 share in households. CBS was a close second (14.65 million, 8.8/13), NBC third (9.15 million, 5.5/8), FOX fourth (7.46 million, 4.5/7) and The CW (896,000, 0.6/1).
The adults 18-49 win went to CBS, with a 5.1 rating, ahead of NBC with a 3.4, ABC with a 2.6, FOX with a 2.4 and The CW with a 0.4.
