TV ratings: 'Nashville' falls Wednesday but 'Arrow' stays solid
Episode 2 of "Nashville" fell down the charts some Wednesday, dropping by a significant amount from its premiere last week. It had a smaller lead-in in the season premiere of "Suburgatory" (which was down from last year's debut), but it's still a pretty big tumble.
The CW's "Arrow," meanwhile, put up another pretty strong performance in its second week. It fell a little bit in viewers but maintained its demographic numbers. "Criminal Minds" was up a little for CBS, while a rain delay in the National League Championship Series wreaked havoc on FOX's schedule.
CBS led the night with 10.8 million viewers and a 6.9 rating/11 share in households. ABC (8 million, 5.1/8) came in second. FOX's jumbled lineup -- West Coast viewers, incidentally, saw an "X Factor" repeat -- drew just over 6 million viewers and a 3.6/6, beating NBC (5.4 million, 3.6/6) for third. The CW delivered 2.8 million viewers and a 1.7/3.
The Eye also led the adults 18-49 demographic with a 2.7 rating. ABC was right behind with a 2.6. FOX scored a 2.1 in the demo to take third, followed by NBC, 1.5, and The CW, 1.1.
