TV ratings: 'NCIS' beats 'Dancing with the Stars,' 'New Girl' and 'Fashion Star' down

CBS' "NCIS" couldn't be knocked out of the top spot for the 8 p.m. time slot by the first "Dancing with the Stars" elimination, though the ABC show did take the lead in its second hour, edging out "NCIS: Los Angeles."

"New Girl" was down a bit again this week, actually coming in third for the 18-49 demographic in its time slot. "Fashion Star" was also down some, up against new episodes of both "Body of Proof" and "Unforgettable."

CBS won for total viewers for the night with 14.46 million and a 9.1 rating/15 share in households. ABC came in second (11.9 million, 7.9/13) with NBC a more distant third (5.1 million, 3.3/5). FOX had 3.65 million viewers (2.2/3) and The CW got 1.23 million (0.8/1).

CBS also won out for the 18-49 demographic for the night with a 2.8, while ABC got a 2.3, NBC had a 1.8 rating, FOX had a 1.7 and The CW a 0.6.
