TV ratings: 'New Girl' rises, 'The Taste' tumbles and CBS dominates another Tuesday
CBS once again ran away from the field in Tuesday's ratings race, as the "NCIS" duo and "Vegas" swept all three hours in viewers and adults 18-49.
Elsewhere, "New Girl" scored its best 18-49 rating in some time for FOX. "Go On" and "The New Normal" dipped some more for NBC, and "The Taste" took a hit for ABC in its second week. ABC's prime-time rebroadcast of "Jimmy Kimmel Live's" Matt Damon episode drew modest numbers.
CBS averaged 16.7 million viewers and a 10.4 rating/16 share in households in primetime, beating the combined total of the other four networks. NBC (4.6 million, 3.1/5) was the best of the rest. FOX (3.75 million, 2.2/3) came in third, beating out ABC (3.6 million, 2.4/4). The CW drew 1.3 million viewers and a 0.9/1.
CBS also led the adults 18-49 demographic (albeit by not as big a margin) with a 2.9 rating. FOX took second with a 1.8, and ABC and NBC tied for third at 1.3. The CW scored a 0.5.
