"New Girl" posted strong numbers for its second episode Tuesday, falling only a little bit from its premiere and leading the night in the adults 18-49 demographic. CBS' "NCIS" duo was also pretty strong, coming in more or less on par with last week and giving CBS the lead in total viewers for the night.

The Eye's new drama "Unforgettable," meanwhile, declined some in week two but still led its hour, while NBC's "Parenthood" improved a bit. The CW's "90210" was also up over last week, and "Ringer" held steady.

CBS averaged 15.9 million viewers and a 10.0 rating/15 share in households in primetime, easily beating ABC (10.9 million, 7.3/11) for the lead. FOX (8.1 million, 4.7/7) came in third. NBC took fourth with 5.7 million viewers and a 3.7/6, while The CW came in at 1.8 million viewers and a 1.2/2.

"New Girl" helped FOX lead the 18-49 demo with a 3.6 rating, topping CBS' 3.4. ABC and NBC tied for third at 2.2, and The CW trailed with a 0.9.
