TV Ratings: 'Shark Tank' keeps ABC afloat in the key demo

Though ABC slipped a bit this week, allowing CBS to take back the Friday night lead, its reality series "Shark Tank" managed to keep most of its demographic viewers interested in its second week of the season. Still, CBS edged ahead in average viewers for the entire evening, and will likely take a more significant lead when its fall season begins in earnest next week.

CBS edged ahead with an average of 5.3 million viewers and a 3.6 rating/7 share in households, stealing the crown from last week's victor, ABC (5.1 million, 3.4/6). FOX's reruns put it in third place, with 3.0 million viewers (2.1/4). Just behind it was NBC with 2.9 million viewers and a tie at 2.1 rating/4 share in households. Per usual, The CW trailed. averaging 959,000 viewers and an 0.6/1.

In the 18-49 demograpic, ABC won with a 1.5. CBS posted a 0.9, with Fox at 0.8 and NBC at 0.7. The CW dipped to a 0.4 this week.
