TV ratings: 'So You Think You Can Dance' tops Wednesday, Stanley Cup Finals on par with 2010
The Wednesday debut of "So You Think You Can Dance" gave FOX a ratings win for the night opposite reruns on CBS and ABC. NBC's coverage of the National Hockey League's Stanley Cup Finals drew ratings pretty much in line with last year's first game.
FOX averaged 8.35 million viewers and a 4.9 rating/8 share in households Wednesday night, leading CBS (6.2 million, 4.1/7) by a healthy margin. ABC (5.1 million, 3.2/5) came in third. NBC (4.5 million, 2.7/5) finished fourth, although its numbers will likely change some because of its live hockey telecast. The CW trailed with 1.2 million viewers and a 0.9/1.
"SYTYCD" also gave FOX a win among adults 18-49, where it averaged a 3.0 rating. NBC's 1.8 was good enough for second, edging out ABC's 1.7. CBS took fourth with a 1.3, while The CW scored a 0.5.
