TV ratings: 'Sunday Night Football' gives NBC a win as 'Once Upon a Time' and 'Revenge' fall
The Chicago Bears-Houston Texans game on "Sunday Night Football" this week was not the prettiest contest, but it still gave NBC a ratings win for the night. FOX also got a boost from its afternoon NFL games running more than an hour into primetime. The 200th episode of "Family Guy" will probably end up rising over last week, but its off-the-clock start makes it hard to tell at the moment.
The news was not as good at ABC, where "Once Upon a Time" and "Revenge" were both down from last week. "The Good Wife" was also on the low side for CBS.
NBC led the night with just under 15 million viewers and an 8.9 rating/14 share in households. FOX's NFL-boosted slate scored 11.2 million viewers and a 6.7/10. CBS (9.85 million, 6.4/10) came in third, and ABC (6.6 million, 4.0/6) trailed.
The Peacock also finished on top in the adults 18-49 demographic with a 5.5 rating. FOX scored a 4.6 to take second. ABC, 2.0, edged CBS, 1.9, for third.
