CBS swept both the total-viewer and adults 18-49 ratings race Wednesday night, as both "Survivor: Cagayan" and "Criminal Minds" topped FOX's "American Idol" in both categories. "CSI" also scored an across-the-board win at 10 o'clock.

"Idol" was even with last week, but it's still a startling sight to see it finish below first in both hours. Also Wednesday, "Modern Family" was down for ABC but still drew the night's top 18-49 rating. All three of NBC's dramas improved on their last original episodes, but "Arrow" and "The 100" fell for The CW.

CBS averaged 9.9 million viewers and a 6.2 rating/10 share in households for the night, beating FOX's 8.8 million, and 5.6/9 for the lead. ABC (6 million, 3.9/6) came in third. NBC (5.3 million, 3.5/6) took fourth, and The CW (2.1 million, 1.4/2) trailed.

CBS's 2.2 rating among adults 18-49 edged out FOX's 2.1 for the top spot. ABC finished a close third at 1.9, followed by NBC, 1.5, and The CW, 0.7.
