CBS had a decent ratings night Wednesday, as "Survivor: Cagayan," "Criminal Minds" and the season finale of "CSI" all improved on their performances last week. They were the exception to the rule, though, as everything on the other four networks was either flat or down.

Overall TV usage was off, leading to series lows in adults 18-49 for "The Middle" and "Suburgatory" on ABC, "American Idol" on FOX (for a Wednesday show) and "Revolution" on NBC. The just-renewed "Law & Order: SVU" tied its series low, as did "Arrow" on The CW.

CBS drew 10.1 million viewers and a 6.5 rating/11 share in households for the night. FOX (7.8 million, 4.9/8) came in second. ABC (5.3 million, 3.5/6) edged NBC (4.8 million, 3.3/6) for third place. The CW trailed with just under 2 million viewers and a 1.3/2.

The adults 18-49 win also went to CBS, which scored a 2.2 rating in the demographic. FOX took second with a 1.7, followed by ABC at 1.5. NBC scored a 1.3 and The CW a 0.7.
