The premiere of "Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains" drew some solid ratings for CBS Thursday -- it was up substantially from the "Samoa" debut in September -- and led the network to a pretty easy ratings win for the night.

CBS scored 14.7 million viewers and an 8.6 rating/14 share in households in primetime to finish well ahead of No. 2 ABC (9.1 million, 6.1/10). FOX (6.7 million, 4.0/6) came in third. NBC could muster only 5 million viewers and a 3.1/5. The CW (3 million, 1.9/3) trailed.

CBS also led among adults 18-49 with a 4.2 rating. ABC took second with a 3.0, beating out NBC's 2.4. FOX, 1.8, was fourth, followed by The CW at 1.3.
