TV Ratings: 'Survivor' winner big for CBS Sunday, 'Desperate Housewives' finale drops from last season

"Boston" Rob Mariano wasn't the only winner last night. The season finale of "Survivor: Redemption Island" propelled CBS to win the night in average viewers and key demographics.

Securing a second place for ABC was the Season 7 finale of "Desperate Housewives" -- which was up from its most recent episode but down by nearly 3 million from the Season 6 finale.

Overall, CBS averaged 12.4 million viewers and scored a 7.0 rating/11 share in households. ABC followed with 8.9 million and a 5.5/9 share, with NBC in third (5.5 million, 3.4/5) and FOX (4.9, 2.7/4) in fourth.

CBS took 18-49 demo, with a 3.3 (up a 1 from last week), followed by ABC (2.5), FOX (2.2) and NBC (1.7).
