TV ratings: 'Talent' wins Tuesday prize, again

Another summer Tuesday night meant another ratings win for "America's Got Talent" and NBC, although "Wipeout" posted the night's best numbers in the 18-49 demographic.

NBC led the way with an average of 8.5 million viewers and a 5.1 rating/9 share in households during primetime. CBS (7.2 million, 4.8/8) came in second, followed by ABC (6.15 million, 3.4/6). FOX took fourth place with 3.8 million viewers and a 2.5/4, while The CW trailed with just under a million viewers and a 0.7/1.

In the adults 18-49 demo, NBC scored a 2.4 rating to beat out ABC's 2.2. FOX, 1.4, finished third. CBS drew a 1.2 for the night and The CW a 0.4.

"Wipeout" (8.9 million viewers, 4.7/8 households)
CBS: "NCIS" rerun (8.7 million, 5.8/10)
NBC: "Minute to Win It" rerun (5.2 million, 3.3/6)

The CW: "Plain Jane" rerun (1.2 million, 0.8/1)
