Ho-hum -- another Thursday, another series-best performance for "The Big Bang Theory."
The CBS comedy scored nearly 20 million viewers and posted a 6.3 rating among adults 18-49 in leading the network to a big ratings win for the night. "Scandal" also continued its second-season surge on ABC, scoring series highs in viewers and the 18-49 demo.
On a smaller scale, NBC's comedies were also up a little bit. The Critics' Choice Movie Awards put up decent numbers for The CW.
CBS averaged 14.65 million viewers and a 9.0 rating/14 share in households for the night. ABC (7.8 million, 5.1/8) finished a distant second. NBC (3.9 million, 2.6/4) came in third, followed by FOX (2.65 million, 1.7/3). The CW trailed with 1.9 million viewers and a 1.4/2.
CBS also won the adults 18-49 demographic with a 3.6 rating. ABC (2.4) was the only other network to get above the 2.0 mark. NBC was third at 1.5, followed by FOX, 0.9, and The CW, 0.6.
