The first original episodes of "About a Boy" and "Growing Up Fisher" in their regular timeslots drew solid ratings Tuesday, with "About a Boy" improving on its premiere and "Fisher" holding steady. "The Voice" was also up for NBC, improving on its performance from a week ago.

Elsewhere Tuesday, "Agents of SHIELD" returned from a four-week break to some of its lowest ratings of the season. "The Goldbergs" was steady, but both "Trophy Wife" and "Mind Games" fell below a 1.0 rating in adults 18-49. "NCIS" rose in viewers for CBS but dipped a little in the 18-49 demographic. "New Girl" ticked up for FOX, but "Glee" dropped.
