"The Voice" reached a season high in Monday's ratings, scoring its best numbers since March 2012 -- at least for now. The night's totals are subject to revision as some local affiliates carried news coverage of the Boston Marathon bombings throughout the evening.

Elsewhere Monday, "Dancing With the Stars" improved a little over last week as well. CBS' comedies and FOX's "Bones" were on the low side, although "The Following" stayed fairly steady. The season premiere of "Oh Sit" drew an audience comparable to that of "The Carrie Diaries" for The CW, and "90210" returned to typically low numbers.

NBC averaged 12.5 million viewers and a 7.4 rating/11 share in households for the night, edging ABC (12.4 million, 8.0/12) to claim the lead. CBS came in third with 7.2 million viewers and a 4.6/7. FOX (6.45 million, 4.1/6) finished fourth. The CW was way off the pace with 822,000 viewers and a 0.5/1.

NBC dominated the adults 18-49 demographic with a 4.5 rating, more than doubling the 2.2 for second-place ABC. CBS (2.1) and FOX (2.0) were right behind, while The CW managed only a 0.3.
