ABC's "Lord of the Rings"-esque competition show "The Quest" didn't conquer much territory in the Nielsen ratings Thursday, opening in third place in its hour.

Per usual, "Big Brother" scored the night's best 18-49 rating, holding steady with last week's fast nationals. "Last Comic Standing" was also steady for NBC, as were "Rookie Blue" and "NY Med" on ABC.

CBS delivered 5.4 million viewers and a 3.5 rating/6 share in households for the night, beating out ABC's 4.3 million and 2.8/5. NBC (3.2 million, 2.0/4) came in third. FOX (2 million, 1.3/2) finished fourth, and The CW (598,000, 0.4/1) trailed.

CBS also topped the adults 18-49 demographic with a 1.4 rating and was the only network to get over the 1.0 mark. NBC finished second with a 0.9, followed by ABC, 0.8; FOX, 0.6; and The CW, 0.1.
