ABC's broadcast of the "CMA Music Festival" and NBC's "America's Got Talent" scored Tuesday's best ratings, but each show brought the other down some. The CMA special was off a bit from 2013's multi-year high, while "AGT" dropped four tenths of a point vs. last week in adults 18-49.

The night's only other original show, "Food Fighters" on NBC, was also down compared to last week.

NBC drew 7.4 million viewers and a 4.3 rating/8 share in households for the night, edging the 7.2 million and 4.4/8 for ABC. CBS (5.9 million, 3.9/7) came in third. FOX (1.3 million, 0.9/1) was fourth, and The CW (565,000, 0.4/1) brought up the rear.

ABC scored a narrow win in the adults 18-49 demographic, as its 1.8 rating beat out NBC's 1.7. CBS scored a 0.7, FOX a 0.5 and The CW a 0.2.
