TV Ratings: Whitney Houston '20/20' special gives ABC demo win, CBS wins viewers

CBS won Friday night on the back of its new programming, though ABC's special edition of "20/20" that was all about the life of Whitney Houston also scored well in the ratings.

CBS averaged 10.3 million viewers and a 6.5 rating/11 share in households. ABC was right behind with 7.1 million viewers and a 4.6/8. NBC was third at 3.4 million, 2.3/4, followed by FOX at 3.05 million and a 1.9/3 and the CW at 1.6 million, 1.0/2

ABC won the 18-49 demographic with a 1.9, followed by CBS (1.8), FOX (1.2), NBC (0.9) and the CW (0.6).
