Tween Internet sensation Rebecca Black announces mall tour. Can she outsing Abercrombie & Fitch?
Update: Rebecca Black mall tour a hoax -- March 23
(Original story below)
Nevermind the cyberbullying, tween song sensation Rebecca Black is capitalizing on her new-found Internet fame with a mall tour. Which is, of course, the first step along the road for any aspiring pop idol who hopes to, many years later, star in basic cable movies with Emmy-baiting titles like "Mega Python vs. Gatoroid."
Black, whose song video for the song "Friday" went ridiculously viral last week and is being hailed as the "female Justin Bieber" (no comment), will kick off her first series of live performances on April 19th at Los Angeles' Hollywood & Highland Center. But, fret not America, the three-month tour will take her across the country -- from malls in Salt Lake City to Washington, D.C.
