It's time for Ty Pennington to get moving. The host of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" will be changing locations and networks for his upcoming project, "American Journey." This series, airing on HLN, will take Pennington around the United States to feature the variety of lifestyles found in the country.

HLN announced Pennington's new hosting gig on Wednesday (Jan. 2).

Described as a show about "creative thinkers and entrepreneurs," the show will focus on a wide variety of people living diverse lives. Episodes in the first season will include the people who live on a commune, fish for lobster and perform blues music in the Mississippi Delta region. "American Journey" will also feature interviews, including ones with actor Morgan Freeman and musician Robert Plant.

"Honestly, I'm really flattered to be part of HLN," Pennington said in a statement released by the network. "I mean, what's great about that is you're providing information. You're also storytelling. You've also got some great storytellers. To be part of that, to be part of a network that is informing people about how they can improve their lives, is something I love doing.... And I think what's really great about HLN, they're trying to make sure that we all live a better life by being informed."

"American Journey" will premiere on Saturday, Jan. 12 at 8pm on HLN.
