Tyler Perry Studios suffers four-alarm fire
Firefighters remained on the scene past midnight, with at least one fire truck and its crew staying until 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.
"The fire's out, but the cause remains under investigation," says Captain Jolyon Bundrige of the Atlanta Fire Department.
Director Tyler Perry was in Atlanta at his Continental Colony Parkway complex at the time and did speak with Fire Chief Kelvin Cochran, but did not speak with reporters following the blaze.
The 200,000-square foot studio opened in 2008 and has been the home to not only Tyler Perry's most recent movies, but also a fundraiser for President Obama back in March in the 400-seat theater.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported, just structural damage. There are no details yet as to the cause of the fire.
