Tyler Perry sued for stealing plot to 'Good Deeds' from author Terri Donald AKA TLO Red'ness
According to a report by Reuters, Donald -- who writes under the name TLO Red'ness -- claims she sent a copy of her book, "Bad Apples Can Be Good Fruit" to Perry prior to the start of production on "Good Deeds."
Donald is seeking $225,000 in damages. Her suit also demands her book be credited in the opening and closing credits of the film, and that Perry provide an accounting of the revenues from "Good Deeds."
The Lionsgate drama took in more than $35,000 at the U.S. box office. It was released on DVD June 12, 2012.
