"Under the Dome" -- a paranormal mystery series based on a Stephen King book of the same name -- will not premiere on CBS until this summer. Casting, however, is well underway and two new actors have joined the show's ranks. Natalie Martinez and Alex Koch will both have parts in the series.

Martinez ( "Broken City," "CSI: NY," "Detroit 1-8-7") will play Linda, a sheriff's deputy who is intensely loyal to her boss, Sheriff Duke Perkins. When the town of Chester's Mill gets cut off from the outside world, Perkins and his deputies will have to maintain a strict order.

Koch , a relative newcomer to the screen, will play the character of Junior Rennie. Junior is a deeply disturbed college student and the son of a car dealer/local politician. He also happens to be in love with a waitress named Angie who wants nothing more than to escape the small town.

The story of "Under the Dome" begins when the small town of Chester's Mill -- a standard, idyllic town somewhere in New England -- gets separated from the outside world by a huge, transparent dome. No one can come in. No one can go out. The town quickly goes into survival mode as its inhabitants try to investigate the dome's origins and future.

Based on King's 2009 novel, "Under the Dome" will be a 13-episode series executive produced by Steven Spielberg.
