'Unforgettable' and 'A Gifted Man' canceled by CBS, 'Rob' also goneAdd to Favorites | Unforgettable
The Eye has also given the boot to dramas "A Gifted Man" and "NYC 22" and the comedy "Rob" as it prepares to announce its 2012-13 schedule. They join "CSI: Miami" on the cancellation pile.
"Unforgettable" is basically a victim of CBS' success. It averaged about 12.1 million viewers, which puts it in the Top 30 for the season. But its 2.5 rating among adults 18-49 puts it in the lower tier of CBS' shows, and the network clearly thinks it can do better with a different show in the 10 p.m. Tuesday timeslot.
The story is similar for "Rob," whose raw numbers (12 million viewers, 3.7 in adults 18-49) are pretty solid. On the flip side, it lost a significant chunk of its lead-in audience from "The Big Bang Theory" and declined over the course of its run.
The numbers for "A Gifted Man" and "NYC 22" just weren't there. The former averaged 8.6 million viewers and a meager 1.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic, while "NYC 22" has drawn only 8.2 million viewers and 1.4 in the demo.
CBS announces its schedule for next season on Wednesday (May 16).
